Your role:
As the Managing Director for GEMÜ’s subsidiaries in Sweden and Denmark, you will be responsible for leading and growing the business in both countries. Your primary focus will be on driving profitable sales growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and aligning with global strategies, all while overseeing a diverse team of 47 employees. You will also be instrumental in expanding GEMÜ’s presence in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. You will be based at the swedish office, just outside of Gothenburg and travel frequently to our danish office in Ballerup.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Market Growth:
Develop and implement sales strategies that drive market share, customer acquisition, and profitability. You will identify new business opportunities and steer aggressive growth across the region. -
Team Management & Development:
Lead and coach a sales-driven team, consisting of 30 employees in Sweden and 15 in Denmark. You will inspire high performance, ensuring that sales targets are met and exceeded. -
Operational Efficiency:
Ensure that both subsidiaries operate with above-benchmark productivity. You will continually refine processes and optimize resource use to enhance overall performance. -
Collaboration with Headquarters:
Foster strong collaboration with GEMÜ’s headquarters in Germany, ensuring strategic alignment and sharing of best practices. You will act as the key liaison between the local subsidiaries and the global leadership team. -
Customer Engagement & Market Presence:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners. You will play a visible role in the market by engaging in major sales negotiations, attending industry events, and reinforcing GEMÜ’s leadership in the region. -
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Lead the strategic planning process and implementation of action plans. You will use market analysis and competitive insights to adjust sales strategies and stay ahead of market trends. -
Compliance & Operational Oversight:
Oversee operations in Sweden and Denmark to ensure compliance with local regulations and effective use of CRM and ERP systems to drive sales performance.
Your Profile:

Experience:
At least 10 years in industrial sales, with proven success in managing sales teams and key accounts. Experience in the valve, process engineering, or automation industries is highly preferred. -
Leadership & Sales Skills:
Strong sales leadership and team management capabilities. You are experienced in negotiating with key accounts and fostering strong client relationships. -
Digital & Commercial Acumen:
Skilled in using CRM and ERP systems to optimize sales processes and make data-driven decisions. A digital mindset is essential for enhancing efficiency and customer engagement. -
Collaboration & Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams, cultures, and functions within the company.
You are fluent in Swedish and English, both orally and in written.
