In Sweden we are a team of 1,200 employees with 800 based at our manufacturing site in Vårgårda.  

Your future role
In the role of Division Finance Manager you collaborate closely with the General Manager of the Vårgårda manufacturing site, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on financial matters. Your primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive financial reports to the President of Operations who reports to the Vice President Finance at Magna Electronics. Leading a dynamic Finance team you drive strategic initiatives and foster a culture of excellence in financial management and reporting throughout the organisation. Your leadership ensures the smooth operation of financial processes and facilitates informed decision-making at both regional and corporate levels.

You will evaluate costs, budgets, and trends to pinpoint opportunities for increased profits and enhanced asset utilization. Your strategic insights will be the catalyst for more efficient operations and resource utilization. Additionally, anticipate and mitigate potential risks through proactive analysis, ensuring a secure and resilient financial future.  It's not just about analyzing numbers; it's about sculpting a path to success.

You will also: 
  • Participate in the overall analysis of the group’s financial results.
  • Participate in continuous meetings to review, understand and document major performance variances by operating entity through dialogue.
  • Generate key financial reports and other key operating metrics on a monthly basis for distribution to executive management.
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly review materials for executive management.
  • Review of division financial statements to understand major fluctuations.
  • Assist in the division budget and forecast preparation through analytics and data integrity.  

Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role we belive that you hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance as a minimum requirement. You have at least 5 years of experience from a similar role in a global environment. You are very experienced with financial analysis in a highly paced industry, preferably automotive. 

In addition to having very strong financial and data analysis skills, you should also have a willingness to get to know the operations to understand where the numbers come from in order to be able to suggest necessary change. You also have very good communications and interpersonal skills in order to be able to spread your knowledge within the organization to achieve better financial management.

You also have: 
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficient advanced computer skills, knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Proficient advanced computer-based application software: manufacturing software/databases SAP, HFM & BW a plus
