SaltX is on a mission to erase industries’ dependency on fossil fuels, starting with the limestone and cement industries that stands for more than 8% of the world’s CO2 emissions. We innovate and industrialize electrification technologies aiming to make a shift in the gigaton scale to reach net-zero industrial emissions.
SaltX creates value by being a strategic partner to heavy-emission industries that are committed to decarbonize their operations. The industrial dependency on fossil-fuel in high temperature heating industries can finally become history thanks to our patented innovation- the Electric Arc Calciner (eAC). Our electric plasma technology replaces fossil-driven heating with renewable electricity and captures the CO2 emissions released during the heating process.
We are now looking for a Process Engineer who wants to join our dedicated, diverse team and drive sustainable change, taking our processes from pilot plant to commercial scale – driving the technology to full industrialization.
Your role
As a Process Engineer at SaltX, you will play a key role in the development and industrialization of cutting-edge energy technologies. Working within a dedicated team of approximately ten engineers and reporting to Head of Engineering, you will engage in a dynamic mix of responsibilities across lab work, computational analysis, and field operations.
Your role will involve evaluating and defining process and system component requirements, performing thermodynamic analyses, and assessing various processes and systems. You will also contribute to developing process flows and P&IDs while leveraging SaltX’s innovative and patented technology.

Foremost you have a passion for sustainability and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.

Every day we challenge ourselves and others to erase industries’ dependence on fossil fuels. We do this by being innovative, caring and collaborative. Research indicates that women and other under-represented groups in our industry often hesitate to apply for a position unless they meet the majority of the requirements outlined in the job description. If you share our passion for the green transition, but feel uncertain because your experience may not perfectly align with the qualifications specified in the job advertisement, we strongly encourage you to apply nonetheless. At SaltX, we are doing things that haven’t been done before and believe that fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team is crucial in advancing our mission to decarbonize the limestone and cement industries.
