The product development and engineering organization consists of several self-organized/managed teams having the people, skills,and resources to deliver their part of the product. About the role
The Squad Lead is responsible for providing the technical leadership for design and development of capabilities in our backend platform that is the backbone for all our Patient and Health Care Professional digital products. This is a hands-on and strategic role which works closely with product, design, engineering and regulatory to design, build and launch backend functionality for patient centric digital experiences. The successful candidate will lead and manage a software engineering team to deliver innovative software solutions of high quality used by our patients and healthcare professionals.
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
- Ensure collaboration between several other engineering squads
- Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure they are met with the software solution
- Act as tech lead in the squad
- Hands-on contribution to software design and code
- Leading the delivery of software solutions aligned to regulatory requirements, product roadmaps and goals
Essential for the role
- 8+ years hands-on experience as a software engineer
- In-depth knowledge of building software backend solutions and platforms
- Confirmed experience of leading people
- Significant experience of using Agile approaches
Java, Spring, MongoDB, Kafka, Kubernetes, SaMD
