An exciting opportunity to head up the protection response for a leading international humanitarian organisation working in Head Office in Oslo, Norway.
What we are looking for
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient and dynamic HR Partner to provide support to our teams responding to the Head Office HR Unit. The successful candidate is an experienced HR professional and will be responsible for ensuring that NRC’s HR policies and strategies are implemented and in accordance with Norwegian labour law. The HR Partner is responsible for providing advice, guidance and support across relevant HR fields to Head Office line managers and staff.
You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to line managers across HR areas such as performance management, compensation, employee relations, employee legislation and HSE.
What you will do

Initiate, prepare and ensure the implementation of HR initiatives according to overall strategy

Advise managers on workforce planning, recruitment and organisational changes

Provide legal and practical advice to managers on issues related to their line manager responsibility, e.g. individual employment cases, performance management, time management, conflict management.

Initiate, prepare and run processes with the unions, including contributing to planning regular meetings.

Contribute to development of the onboarding process and onboarding of new HO staff

Conduct salary analysis and advice on salary placement for new hires and for staff taking on new internal jobs
What you will bring
-
Expertise in a range of different HR disciplines, including recruitment, work force planning, performance management, employee engagement, employment relations and legislation, and handling disputes

Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably from a large and complex organisation

Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

Fluency in English, both written and oral

High degree of flexibility, customer centricity, service attitude and ability to prioritize

Salary/benefits: grade 9 on NRC’s Head Office salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
