We are now looking for an Electrical technician!
TOMRA Reuse is looking for an Electrical Technician to design and develop the electrical systems in our reusable packaging solutions. In this role, you’ll ensure quality, improve existing systems, and help expand our offerings as we set new standards in the circular economy.
You’ll join a small, agile team that works like a corporate startup, offering freedom, minimal bureaucracy, and varied tasks. Your contribution will be essential to our success as we scale reuse globally.
Key responsibilites:
- Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including cabling, motor drives, and safety solutions
- Design and interpret electrical schematics and ensure compliance with industry standards (NEK, IEC, UL, EMC)
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to product and project specifications
- Coordinate with suppliers and support implementation and testing at customer sites
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in solutions from concept to delivery
Beyond your core responsibilities, you’ll stay up to date on emerging technologies, build strong relationships with key suppliers and partners, and play an active role in shaping innovative solutions that establish reuse as a solid business area.
What you might have done:
- Degree in electrical or technical field (BSc, technical college or similar) – relevant experience can compensate for formal education
- Hands-on experience with electrical power systems, industrial control design, and motor/drive solutions (AC, DC, BLDC, stepper, VFD)
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Siemens NX/Teamcenter
- Analytical and structured approach, with good communication skills for effective collaboration
In addition, we value curiosity for technology, a self-driven and trustworthy mindset, fluency in English and preferably Norwegian, and the ability to stay connected with industry trends and suppliers.
