In this role, you will research, design and develop programs for 3D measurement instruments. Participate in requirements analysis, develop system architectures, and develop signal and image processing technology systems. Your responsibilities will include design, development and analysis of systems and algorithms for the processing of information from range and image sensors. 

As a person you are creative and curious, and therefore willing to go the extra mile to get things done. You have strong organizational skills with the proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, and good analytical abilities (root cause). It’s important for us that you have good interpersonal and written/verbal skills.

The Senior Software Engineer - 3D Measurement Systems is the position that will be located at Oslo, Norway and reports to Head R&D department.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize algorithms for LiDAR data processing, including point cloud filtering, segmentation, and feature extraction.
  • Implement and integrate LiDAR image processing techniques, such as image registration, stitching, and 3D reconstruction.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of state-of-the-art LiDAR image processing techniques, such as image registration, stitching, and 3D reconstruction.
  • Develop programs for data reduction chain, optimizing measurements accuracy and geometrical calibration.
  • Responsible for specification, development, test and documentation of software.

Qualification:

  •  
  • Proficiency in programming languages C / Modern C++ for real time hardware near embedded programming under tight constraints on computing power and memory footprint.
  • Analysis of real time data and evaluation of data reduction methods.
  • Design of mathematical models of real-world systems and experience with fitting model parameters.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant programming experience.
  • Bachelor/ Master in one of the areas Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Measurement Technology or equivalent.
