Norwegian’s Project and Portfolio Management Office, Project Arena, supports the Norwegian Group in all project phases. As part of our team, you will hence have the opportunity to lead a wide variety of exciting projects across all business areas.  

With your expertise and passion for project management, attention to detail, and ability to lead teams, you will contribute to the smooth execution of the projects you are responsible for - ensuring they meet their objectives within the given timeframe and budget.  

You will also contribute to the company-wide adoption of standardized project governance and project support tools through effective training, as well as provide continuous support to project owners and sponsors to help them understand their roles and responsibilities.

Your role:  

As a Project Manager at Norwegian, you will be responsible for leading one or more projects at a time, spanning various business areas. Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead project resources and relevant project stakeholders to deliver and reach project goals  

  • Plan, track and report on project progress according to project goals  

  • Quality assurance, risk and change management, and consequence analysis within assigned projects   

  • Comply with mandatory methodologies and reporting within assigned projects   

  • Manage budget and ensure financial control within assigned projects  

  • Ensure KPIs are met both during and upon execution of the project and manage relevant reporting   

  • Contribute to establishing best practice and ongoing improvements for the PMO team, including improving project methodologies, tools, training and processes   

You are our ideal candidate if you have: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager   

  • Relevant master’s degree. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education 

  • Some project management experience with complex projects in medium to large organizations   
  • A good technical understanding

  • Certification in Prince2, IPMA, PMP or similar and familiar/certified in agile methods (ex. Kanban, Scrum), and Lean knowledge   

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal   

  • Effective collaboration skills
