About the employer
SAREN Energy provides reliable and sustainable energy to society and the economy. Currently, the group comprises three companies within energy recovery from residual waste and distribution of district heating. The companies are located in Fredrikstad, Sarpsborg and Tromsø. Total capacity is approx. 500 GWh delivered energy and 200,000 tons of waste. Even in a well-developed circular society, there will always be waste that cannot be reused or recycled. Incineration of this residual waste is the safest way to destroy it, and the excess energy is turned into steam and heat, which replaces fossil fuels and relieves the power grid.
The group is owned by several infrastructure funds managed by PATRIZIA Infrastructure.
SAREN Energy works actively with several development tasks, and among the major undertakings is making the entire business CO2-neutral. Preparations for carbon capture facilities are ongoing, and we are looking to strengthen our team with complementary skills and increased capacity.
