Are you passionate about tech-enabled innovation, lighting as a key component of human well-being and safety, and simplifying complex systems to make them accessible to users? Do you thrive on hands-on challenges while keeping the bigger picture in mind? Glamox offers talents a unique opportunity to influence the digital journey of an international manufacturer while growing as a professional. Join us to play a pivotal role in shaping our future through technology.
We are looking for a driven product lead for our Light Management Systems (LMS) offering for Marine and Offshore Wind. Smart lighting systems (combining sensors, communication protocols and control logic) are quickly becoming the de facto standard offering from Glamox. These systems, commonly referred to as LMS, provide far richer capabilities in adapting lighting to users, optimizing energy, remote monitoring and more. Glamox has a strong global position in the Marine and Offshore Wind market, but the adoption of LMS and smart lighting systems is still in its infancy in this market. We believe that there is great potential for growth and are seeing strong interest from several key segments. Now we are looking for the key person to exploit this opportunity and shape the future product offering for Marine and Offshore Wind.
At Glamox, we’re looking for someone who’s both experienced and curious. We're in need of someone who understands the world and language of ship designers, engineers, and system integrators, and can turn complex needs into smart, intuitive lighting solutions. You may have worked with hardware–software products before, or simply know what it takes to create value for the people who install and use our systems every day. Whether you’re in a customer meeting or a problem-solving session with engineers, you’re comfortable navigating both the details and the bigger picture. If you have experience in marine or offshore environments and enjoy working at the intersection of technology, usability, and real-world application – we’d love to hear from you.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Articulate and communicate a product vision for LMS in MOW that addresses customer and market needs, aligns with Glamox’s strategic objectives, and is technically viable within the available resources and investment levels.
- Translate the product vision into a product roadmap with the main product initiatives necessary to realize the product vision, for the coming 12–18 months.
- Collaborate closely with the wider LMS product team to ensure alignment with the overall LMS vision and roadmap, and to maximize synergies across the Glamox portfolio.
- Lead relevant LMS product development initiatives.
- Build and maintain a strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics by leveraging internal knowledge and actively engaging in key customer conversations.
- Support and collaborate with MOW sales enablement to shape the product story and grow the market size for LMS in MOW.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant technical or business field.
- At least 3 years work experience in relevant roles.
- Past experience in product development is beneficial but not required.
- Experience from Marine (or other relevant MOW domain) and an understanding for the environment (engineering/design, operating environment and commercial/deal processes are all relevant).
- Experience working with products that combine software and hardware development is highly beneficial.
- Experience and preference for working in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Bonus if you have a background in industrial design or software, with experience from industry or technical B2B solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, with experience engaging audiences across seniority and organization, both verbally and in writing
Personal Attributes:
- Great communicator. Able to align the organization with a product vision and a set of priorities.
- Engineering Affinity. Able to build trust and affinity with engineering teams to align on strategic direction and build a foundation for strong product innovation and customer focus.
- Customer Oriented. Passion for the customer and the customer’s perspective. Thrives in problem-solving with customers.
- Curious, Humble and Principled. Ability to learn, listen and adapt, while resting on a solid set of foundational principles to guide your work and provide long-term direction.
Why Glamox?
- Work with interesting and inspiring tasks in a company with a global presence and a clear sustainability mission
- Grow your career in a supportive, dynamic setting where ambitious ideas are welcomed
- Be the first dedicated product role for MOW in LMS and play a key part in shaping a new product area from the ground up
