Mettler Toledo is looking for a new Project Manager R&D

Mettler Toledo is looking for a Research and Development Project Manager that is very driven, technically on a high level and with a commercially astute mind. You will join the Product organization for Research and development projects. In this role you will be responsible for the management of projects and is required to provide support and guidance to the R&D team and stakeholders. The position will report to Head of Research and Development.

As R&D Project Manager you will be creating long – and short-term plans, which include setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. With your experience and knowledge, one of your responsibilities is also to delegate tasks on the project to the team best positioned to complete them. By making such effective decisions, it will help the progression in the project, so you must be able to see the bigger picture.

As R&D Project Manager you will be communicating with management like PO and SBU to keep the project aligned with their goals and process. Also, it will be important that you can control the quality in our projects so that the standards are as expected. If necessary, make changes on schedules and targets.

For this position 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred, perhaps with education within Computer Science or Software Engineering. You have experience leading cross functional teams within a formalized methodology. For this role we would like it if you have been involved in managing issues, scope and quality while bring projects to successful completion, within the cost and time requirements. You will need good verbal and written English communication skills. And it will help if you have travel flexibility by the work and projects location.
